Scoutmaster/Assistant Scoutmaster Position-Specific Training (classroom component) – At October Roundtable 2017
When Scoutmaster Position-Specific training AND Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills (IOLS) have BOTH been completed, new Scoutmasters will have the tools needed to begin an effective Boy Scouting program. Both classes are required to meet the Journey 2.0 “Position-Trained” requirement deadline of October 31, 2017.
- Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills (IOLS) is available at the University of Scouting on October 28, 2017.
- Scoutmaster Position-Specific Training (classroom training component) is available the October Roundtable on October 5th beginning at 5:30PM.*
Lake Minnetonka District is offering Scoutmaster/ Assistant Scoutmaster Position-Specific Training (classroom training component) at the October 5th Roundtable
* Scoutmasters and Troop Committee Chairs, do you have a Scoutmaster, assistant Scoutmaster, or a parent who is interested in getting trained and needs the Scoutmaster Postition-Specific Training (classroom training component)? Lake Minnetonka District is offering the three-hour classroom training prior to and during the October roundtable meeting starting at 5:30PM.
This training will complete the requirement for those Scouters and parents who (1) attended the Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills (IOLS) at University of Scouting last spring, or (2) attended the district’s Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills (IOLS) in September of 2016, or (3) plan to attend the the Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills (IOLS) training at the University of Scouting this fall.
The three-hour Scoutmaster/ Assistant Scoutmaster Position-Specific Training (classroom training component) will be scheduled and completed prior to the October 31, 2017, Journey 2.0 Training deadline.
