Pokémon sightings reported at Eagle projects, Scout camps, council offices

Pokestops and Pokemon

Pokémon GO trainers are finding Pokémon, PokéStops and gyms at Boy Scout summer camps, Eagle Scout service project sites and local Boy Scout council offices.

The discovery brings this crazily popular virtual game into the real world of Scouting.

We’ve already talked about the importance of being safe when playing Pokémon GO. My post on the subject includes helpful reminders like:

  • Never play Pokémon GO alone.
  • Be aware of your surroundings at all times.
  • Never enter private property without permission. (If a Pokéstop is on private property that belongs to you or your council, see the bottom of this post to learn how to request its removal.)

But today’s all about celebrating the fun, Scouting-related places where Scouts and Scouters are getting outside to find Pokémon and meet new people.
