Northern Star Council – Scouting from Home
Dear Scouts, Families and Leaders,
We are living in unprecedented times! As our communities learn to deal with the daily changes brought on by the COVID-19 virus, Scouting remains committed to our key mission: to be a positive influence for 100% of the families in the communities we serve.
Scouting is still happening! While in-person meetings and events have been postponed or cancelled, the core of Scouting remains strong and valid: young people, working with caring adults to practice citizenship, life skills and adventure through the Scout Oath and Law.
To that end, we are excited to launch Northern Star’s ‘Scouting from Home’ campaign – a rapidly growing suite of videos, tips, activities and fun designed to help our communities thrive in these challenging times.
Now more than ever, families need Scouting, and though it may look different for a while, Scouting is very much here for you.
We need YOU to use these tools to bring digital Scouting to life for all of the children in your dens and packs, or troops, crews, ships or posts.
To stay up to date on new resources and fun, make sure you subscribe to the Northern Star Facebook page, or check the council website regularly. To access our ever-growing library of resources, videos and activities – check out the Northern Star Scouting from home page.
