Member Recruiting Update from Northern Star Scouting!
Application Approvals:
With the new online registration system, Pack leaders play a critical role! When a new family registers online, an email gets sent to the Committee Chair on file for approval. Until that approval comes to the registrars, the new scout isn’t officially a Scout. Quick responses to those approval emails are critical! If you know of new Scouts who are signing up, but haven’t seen any approval emails, make sure your email address is correct in ScoutNet! Check with Jim Bollback, our District M Executive.
Hand out Those Water Bottles!
Every new Scout that joins between now and the end of October should receive a water bottle, t-shirt and day camp voucher (the shirt and the voucher are inside the water bottle). We gave a set of bottles to every unit at kickoff, but if you need more, contact Jim Bollback, our District M Executive.
Better with friends!
Everyone knows that Scouting is a great place to make friends – but it’s also great to bring your current friends into Scouts! Many units have opened up their fall activities to friends, and that’s a great way to introduce Scouting to new kids. If you have visitors at your Pack meeting, make sure one of your adult leaders connects with the family to answer any questions they might have.
Promo Theme: Uniform Zoom Calls
Are you Scouts learning in a virtual or hybrid environment? Leverage their next Zoom meeting to promote Cub Scouts! Invite your Scouts to wear their uniforms for their class calls on a special day – maybe there’s an upcoming Pack event they could promote too!
