Journey to Excellence District Award - Gold - 2016

Scouting's "Journey to Excellence" is the BSA's council performance recognition program designed to encourage and reward success and measure the performance of our units, districts, and councils. It replaced the Centennial Quality Awards Program as a means of encouraging excellence in providing a quality program at all levels of the BSA.

Congratulations to our Packs, Troops, Crews, and Teams who completed the 2016 Journey to Excellence 2.0 program AND submitted an on-time unit charter. This means 83%
of our units qualified in the Platinum, Gold, Silver, or Bronze JTE categories. These results are impressive! Especially when 86% of our units participated in the new Guidepost 1, "Review and Reflect". We applaud our committee chairs and unit leaders for their commitment to providing an excellent program for youth in our district.

We encourage units that did not qualify - or that qualified for lower levels - to contact those units that qualified for platinum to find ways to improve their program so they can qualify for a higher level in 2017 as well.
