Five Things to Know About the 2017 National Jamboree
The 2017 National Jamboree will be here before you know it … Whether you’ve already registered as an attendee or staff member, or have been looking for a good reason to do so, here are five things to know about Scouting’s premier event:
- Buses! Your hiking boots just got a little happier. Thanks to feedback from staffers in 2013, next summer’s jamboree will feature a greatly expanded busing system. Read more about the 11 planned routes for the 2017 National Jamboree here: http://www.summitbsa.org/bus-service-jamboree-expanding
- Already signed up? Take care of your medical requirements now … If you’re one of the thousands who have already registered for the 2017 National Jamboree, you should have already received an invitation to set your password for the Annual Medical and Health Record (AHMR), which you’ll need to complete in order to attend the jamboree. Not registered yet? No worries. Those who register from this point on will set up the information for their AHMR during registration. - Feeling adventurous? We need you on staff. The Summit Bechtel Reserve is home to some of the biggest, boldest, and best activity areas around — all of which still need staff members (like you) for the 2017 National Jamboree. - Explorers are welcome! If you’re a youth or adult member of an Exploring post, the jamboree is for you, too! Learn more about the three different options for attending here: http://scoutingwire.org/guess-whos-invited-2017-jamboree
- We need YOU to help spread the word. The jamboree is the BSA’s premier event, and it only happens every four years. So don’t miss out, and don’t let your fellow Scouts and Scouters miss out!
