December Roundtable – WHAT TO EXPECT – December 5, 2019 – 7:00PM – Minnetonka Community Center

Please plan on turning in your Unit Recharter Packets at the December Roundtable!

December’s program will focus on the Religious Awards for Cub Scouts, Scouts BSA and Venturers.  A Scout is reverent. A Scouts is faithful in his/her religious duties and respects the convictions of others in matters of custom and religion. Get answers to these questions (and MORE!)

  • What are the religious emblems programs?

  • I have a unit with children of all different faiths. How can I include the religious emblems programs for my unit?

  • Do boys and girls participate in the same program?

  • Do the youth have to belong to a religious institution?

  • If the religious emblems program for my faith has more than one level (for the different grade levels), may my child earn all of these recognitions?

  • How do we get started on these programs?

To encourage members to grow stronger in their faith, religious groups have developed the following religious emblems programs. The Boy Scouts of America has approved of these programs and allows the emblems to be worn on the official uniform. The various religious groups administer the programs.

As always, Scouts and youth are Welcome to join this Event. Please feel free to invite leaders from your church to attend and learn more about the religious emblems program.

Join us for another informative Session at the December 5, 2019 Roundtable at the Minnetonka Community Center with a Social at 6:30pm and the Program starting at 7:00pm.

 

6:30 pm – 7:00 pm      Check-in at Registration Table, Social Time

Recharter Packets to be turned in to your Commissioner at Roundtable. Friends of Scouting (FOS) Packets will be Distributed to Packs and Troops

7:00 pm – 7:05 pm      Flag Opening (Guests)

7:05 pm – 7:25 pm      Announcements

7:25 pm – 7:30 pm      Transition to Breakouts

7:40 pm – 8:15pm       Cub Scouts and Scouts BSA Breakouts

Unit Commissioner Visits as needed

8:15pm – 8:30 pm      Closing – Circle – Up & Scout Vespers
