Cub Scout Day at the MN Zoo – Feb 8 – 9am-4pm
No Registration Necessary!
Date: February 8, 2020
Time: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Fee: $9 per scout and $13 per leader if wearing their uniform. Additional family members pay regular admission. Zoo memberships honored. Parking for non-members is $7 per car.
Animal Demonstration
Just for Scouts! Come meet live animals up close and personal in the Zoo’s Target Learning Center and learn about what makes them unique, how you can help them, and other exciting things!
Scout Activity Packets
Print out a packet to complete whenever you visit the Minnesota Zoo, including for Cub Scout Day. Please be green and share a copy with a friend or two. All scouts can earn an exclusive “Minnesota Zoo” patch by completing an activity sheet during their visit (patches cost $3).

Behind the Scenes Tour
How do you train a komodo dragon? What do we think about when we decide to combine species in an exhibit? These 20-minute walking tours are chock-full of fun facts, animal anecdotes, and insider information. You’ll learn the answers to the questions you always wondered about. Your tour will also include a peek behind-the-scenes, where you’ll travel with your naturalist to a non-public area of the Zoo to learn more about how the Zoo works.

Timeline:
- 9:00 a.m. – Zoo opens
- 10-11 & 12:45-3:30 – Behind the Scenes Tours (1/2 hour). Sign up on February 8 when you arrive at the Zoo. First come first serve.
- 11:45 a.m. – A special animal presentation just for the scouts at the Target Learning Center (TLC)
- 4:00 p.m. – Zoo closes
- *various keeper talks throughout the day
