Leave No Trace Trainer Course – October 11-13, 2019 @ Stearns Scout Camp
The Trainer Course is an informative fun 2-day session to learn how to practice and teach minimum-impact recreation and travel. This course is for BSA adults and youth at least age 14.
Course participants learn skills and teaching techniques through discussions and demos in a rustic outdoor setting. It prepares you to reduce impacts on camp-outs or high adventure treks and develop skills to become an Outdoor Ethics Guide or Adviser.
Registration $45. Includes food, materials, camping fee, LNT Trainer strip. Big Foot Playbook activity booklet available for $15.00

Course Times: The course starts 7:00pm Friday and ends by noon on Sunday. You must attend and participate in all sessions, including teaching one topic to the group.Topics will be assigned Friday night or can be arranged ahead of time. Youth are encouraged to attend with another member from their unit.
Pre-req: Take the online Leave No Trace Awareness course (http://lnt.org/learn/onlineawareness-
course). Bring the training certificate as evidence of completion.
Equipment: This is an Outdoor Event! You will need personal gear for a standard
weekend of camping: small tent, sleeping bag, pad, mess kit, rain gear, water bottle,
small pack for supplies.
