HP Wreaths Across America 2008 Fundraiser for your Troops

We want to let you know about a tremendous and unique opportunity for a handful of Troops in Minnesota. The participating cemeteries in your state are Soldiers Field Veterans Memorial, Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery - Little Falls, and Fort Snelling National Cemetery.

It is our wreath sponsorship program we are referring to. It will benefit your troops in two ways. 1) Expose them to what the Veterans have done for all of us and what they mean to all of us. 2) This program will be a great fund raising opportunity for them as well.

Participating Troops will also be invited to take part in the Wreath Laying event at your states' Veterans cemeteries on Saturday December 13, 2008. On that day there will be over 280 seperate ceremonies going on simultaniously throughout the country and overseas.

In a nutshell, this is how the program will work. Your Scouts will go out into the community and sell Sponsorships for wreaths to be placed on Veterans graves in your state. They will be going to businesses and individuals in their local areas. These sponsorships will sell for $15 each. $5 of each $15 sponsorship goes to the Troop and $10 goes to purchase each wreath and run the Wreath Across America Operation.
