As the result of a survey taken by adult leaders last fall, Lake Minnetonka District has initiated a new program designed to improve two-way communications between Units and the District. “Nominate Your Unit Commissioner” allows Units a choice to either keep their currently assigned Unit Commissioner or nominate one of the adult leaders from their Unit.
Unit Commissioner responsibilities and the characteristics of a successful Unit Commissioner are described on the nomination form. All adult leaders being nominated for Unit Commissioner will be reviewed by the District Nomination Chair. If the individual is not currently registered with the District as an adult leader, the Adult Leader Application form (available on web site) will need to be completed and submitted to the District before the nomination can be approved.
The timeline to complete the “Nominate Your Unit Commissioner” program is as follows:
- All Nominations submitted no later than March 15, 2008
- Nomination approval process completed by March 28, 2008
- Unit Commissioner training by mid-April, 2008
